Navis Engineering supports charts and asset plans mapped onto its charting system. With the increasing availability of scanning based sensors (Laser and Radar) Navis Engineering now support live scans to be mapped onto the DP chart allowing for maximum situational awareness whether looking out of the window or onto the screen.

Improved DPO productivity

Ease of use with multiple one button operations enables most DPOs to master the NavDP with ease. Functions such as footprint plotting in support of IMCA M 182 automate otherwise laborious tasks freeing up the DPO to take on additional duties such as gangway control.

Improved Vessel productivity

NavDP have been pioneers in high speed DP systems allowing operators to seamlessly switch between low speed manoeuvring and high speed transits. Developed for Wind Farm applications this feature is now finding purchase across the NavDP enabled fleet from Cruise ships wanting to move between sights to Superyachts “port crawling” up the Riviera.

Reducing Vessel wear

NavDP recognise their responsibility in keeping your vessel operational by avoiding unnecessary wear and tear. Control of your thrusters, propellors and rudders is a task we undertake with due attention to unnecessary wear. Features such as our smooth stopping control and optimisation of propeller pitch vs speed makes NavDP a favourite of the thruster community.
