Cybersecurity Compliance

Cyber resilience has become an essential part of modern shipbuilding. As maritime cybersecurity requirements continue to evolve, shipyards, vessel owners and system integrators need confidence that onboard systems are designed to meet the latest applicable requirements from the outset.

The NavDP 4000 Dynamic Positioning Control System has successfully completed a Cybersecurity Review by Bureau Veritas, confirming compliance with IACS UR E27 Rev.1 and Bureau Veritas NR659 requirements for the cyber resilience of onboard systems and equipment.

Project-Specific Class Approval

Navis Engineering supports project-specific class approval of its DP systems from documentation review through Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT). Each system is engineered, documented and tested against the applicable class rules, DP class notation and vessel-specific requirements.

The approval process includes coordination with the vessel’s classification society and preparation of the required technical documentation and testing procedures. FAT is performed prior to delivery in accordance with the approved project scope and applicable class requirements.

Navis Engineering has delivered DP systems for projects involving major international classification societies, including:

ABS · Bureau Veritas · CCS · DNV · Indian Register of Shipping · Korean Register · Lloyd’s Register · Polish Register of Shipping · RINA
